Every edition is the same app — you install AstroWatch free from the Microsoft Store, and an upgrade simply unlocks more of it. Upgrades are one-time purchases with a lifetime licence, handled by the Microsoft Store.

A full Western astrology app with no account and no time limit: cast and save natal charts, follow the live sky on the dashboard and timeline, read transits, progressions and the Solar Return (current year ± 1), customise the dashboard with the Western cards, and export shortened, watermarked natal, predictive and synastry reports.
Extended
The economical way to the Vedic side of AstroWatch, and to full reports:
- The complete Vedic Suite Overview — Panchang, Muhurta and Choghadiya, three daśā systems, Yogas, Shadbala, KP, Varshaphal, Gochar and Aṣṭakavarga, the sixteen vargas and Bhava Chalit.
- Kundli Matching and the Kundli PDF in Hindi or English.
- The sidereal zodiac with all eight ayanamsas, and the North, South and East Indian chart styles.
- Full-length, watermark-free PDF reports and the Report Manager, with reports in more languages.
- Movements of the Moon — lunar aspects, void-of-course and eclipses.
- The Interpretation Workbench, read-only.
- Koch, Equal, Regiomontanus and Sri Pati houses, and six more chart themes.
Pro
Everything in Extended, plus the complete observatory: the Aspect Calendar timing engine with CSV export, the Graphic Ephemeris, declinations, Lunar Days and Arabic Mansions, returns of any planet in any year, the synastry, composite, Davison and harmonic wheels and four-ring layouts, all 28 house systems, all 21 themes, extra bodies and minor aspects, every calculation setting, and authoring and translation in the Interpretation Workbench.
The gem and crown marks
Locked features carry a small mark so you can see what each edition adds:
- Gold crown — available in Pro.
- Violet gem with the crown — available in Extended and Pro.
Marks appear on menu items, chart-style and theme cards, house-system lists and individual fields in dialogs such as Calculation Settings. A mark shows only while the feature is locked for your edition: a Free user sees gems and crowns, an Extended owner sees crowns only, and Pro sees none. Locked items are never greyed out — clicking one opens the upgrade panel, which explains the feature first.
For an Extended feature the upgrade panel compares Extended and Pro side by side; a Pro-only feature shows Pro.
Upgrading
- From Free: Help → Upgrade to Extended or Help → Upgrade to Pro, or click any locked feature. When the feature belongs to Extended, the panel shows both editions side by side so you can choose; a Pro-only feature shows Pro.
- From Extended to Pro: Help → Upgrade to Pro. Extended owners get Pro at a special upgrade price — you only pay the difference.
The purchase happens in the Microsoft Store window; when it completes, the marks disappear and the title bar shows EXTENDED (violet) or PRO (gold). Your licence follows your Microsoft account to the Windows devices you use.
