Predictive Reports

New in v2.0.0 — a designed PDF for a moving ring against your natal chart: Transit, Progressed, Solar Return or Lunar Return, each with its own dated Forecast Timeline chapters. A capability that simply didn't exist before this version.

Before v2.0.0, a moving ring — a transit, a progression, a planet return — could only be read on screen in Report Manager, never exported. Predictive Reports closes that gap: the same designed book as Export Natal Report, cover page and all, built from whichever ring is active instead of the bare natal chart, with a set of forecast chapters that only a moving ring can produce.

Opening it

Four items sit in the Reports menu below Export Natal Report: Export Transit Report, Export Progressions Report, Export Solar Return Report and Export Lunar Return Report. Each one stays disabled until the matching ring is on the wheel — add it from Configure Wheels first (see Multi-Wheel & Bi-Wheel):

Menu itemNeeds this ring on the wheel
Export Transit ReportA Transit ring (the live sky, or the Timeline scrubbed to a moment) alongside the natal chart.
Export Progressions ReportA Progression ring targeted at Secondary.
Export Solar Return ReportA Planet Return ring targeted at the Sun.
Export Lunar Return ReportA Planet Return ring targeted at the Moon.

A still-disabled item can't be clicked from the menu in the first place, but if you ever do reach the guard behind it — say, the ring gets removed mid-session — the message names the missing ring directly, e.g. "No Transit wheel" with "Add a Transit wheel alongside the natal chart, then export the Transit report." An active natal profile with a natal chart loaded is required regardless of which ring you're exporting.

Exporting from the Dashboard

New in v2.0.0, the Dashboard can export a Transit report directly — the other three ring types still require the Expanded Chart View. Turn the bi-wheel (Natal + Transit) on with a natal profile loaded and Reports → Natal+Transit becomes available; without it, a prompt reads "Enable the bi-wheel (Natal + Transit) first, then export the Transit report."

This one has no Pro wall of its own. Dashboard and Expanded Chart View export the identical PDF either way — Free still gets the page-capped, watermarked book described below, with no purchase prompt blocking the export itself.

Choosing a style, cover and filename

The same Classic / Celestial style chooser and save-file picker as Export Natal Report — see that page for what each style looks like. What changes per ring is the cover kicker, the context line printed under the subject's name, and the default filename:

The forecast window

Every predictive report scans a window of time for dated events, and how far that window runs depends on the ring — a lunar return moves fast and only needs a few weeks; a progression maps roughly a year of life onto a single day of ephemeris motion, so it looks much further ahead:

RingWindowAnchored to
Transit365 daysThe moving chart's own moment — normally right now, or wherever you've scrubbed the Timeline to.
Solar Return365 daysThe return moment itself.
Lunar Return28 daysThe return moment itself.
Secondary Progressed730 days (2 years)Today's actual calendar date — not the progressed chart's own (much older) moment, since a progression forecast is about your near future, not the symbolic date the progressed chart itself sits on.

The Forecast Timeline chapters

Before v2.0.0, dated events sat in one timeline chapter. Now they're split into up to six focused chapters at the end of the book, after the natal interpretation chapters — which ones show up depends entirely on which ring you're exporting, since each ring only feeds the chapters that make sense for it:

Retrogrades & Stations✓✓——
Progressed Lunar Phase———✓
Return Houses in Natal Houses—✓✓—

"Forecast Timeline" is the exact chapter title used for the aspect-event chapter specifically — it isn't literally the last chapter in the book (Return Houses or Progressed Lunar Phase can follow it), but the whole block of six is now grouped together at the back, after every interpretive chapter, rather than sitting inline as one chapter used to.

Forecast Timeline — transits, progressions and returns

Transit rows: a planet crossing back and forth over the same aspect on its retrograde loop used to produce a separate row for every pass. They're consolidated now — one row per aspect, with the extra passes folded into a short "also…" note — and rows are grouped under a sub-heading per moving planet so a long list reads by body rather than as one undifferentiated feed.

Progressed contacts widen the net: instead of only the exact hits, anything a fast progressed planet comes within roughly 1° of orb of a natal point is listed, tagged either as an exact perfecting date or as a near-miss ("within 0.6° — applying/separating"). Progressions move slowly, so a short report window used to come back nearly empty under the old exact-hits-only rule; the widened orb keeps a two-year progressed report meaningfully full.

Solar Return aspects state plainly whether they're applying (perfecting — tightening toward exact) or separating (going out of orb), each with its own date, rather than a single static orb reading.

Lunations & Eclipses

New Moons and Full Moons render in calm, cool-blue boxes; eclipses stand out in vivid amber boxes — a deliberate visual split so an eclipse doesn't blend into an ordinary lunation at a glance. Every eclipse row is also enriched with its tightest natal-point contact and the house that point activates, e.g. "… conjunct natal Sun (0.4° orb) — in your 5th house" — where the old timeline only listed the eclipse's sign and degree.

Sign Ingresses & Retrogrades & Stations

Two entirely new feeds. Sign Ingresses lists the moment each tracked body crosses into a new sign. Retrogrades & Stations lists the moment each tracked body turns retrograde or direct, and flags it if the station itself falls close to one of your natal points.

Progressed Lunar Phase

Progressed-report only. Opens with a plain statement of where you currently sit in the roughly 30-year progressed lunar cycle (New, Crescent, First Quarter, Gibbous, Full, Disseminating, Last Quarter or Balsamic), then lists any phase change that falls inside the report window.

Return Houses in Natal Houses

Solar/Lunar Return only. Every house cusp of the return chart is mapped onto your natal houses — where the return's own Ascendant, Midheaven, Descendant and IC land is derived from that return chart's actual angles rather than assumed by house number, so the chapter reads correctly regardless of which house system you have set.

Every dated row across all six chapters now carries a small square date chip, and any row with authored interpretation text shows it inline directly beneath the row — the same inline-text behaviour Report Manager shows on screen.

Free vs. Pro

The export itself carries no Pro wall on any of the four rings, or from either entry point — Free exports the same page-capped, watermarked book Export Natal Report describes. What Free doesn't get is the six chapters above: every one of the new Forecast Timeline chapters, and Return Houses in Natal Houses, is Pro-only. A Free predictive export is the capped core interpretation alone — Pro is what adds the dated forecast material this page covers.

What's next

That covers one ring against your own chart. Two people's charts together export differently again: Synastry Reports →
