Reading a varga always means comparing it with the Rāśi chart. Vedic → Varga Comparison lets you do that without switching back and forth: pick the charts, and they sit next to each other at the same size.
Two charts — D1 and D9 — side by side, with Vimśopaka bala below.
Choosing the charts
- Open a profile, then choose Vedic → Varga Comparison. The dialog always uses the open profile's sidereal birth chart.
- The layout list in the header switches between 2 charts (D1 and D9 to start) and 4 charts (D1, D9, D10 and D7).
- Each slot has its own drop-down with all sixteen vargas plus Bhava Chalit. Change any slot freely; going from 2 to 4 keeps your first two choices.
- Charts use your current Indian chart style (North Indian if you use the Wheel).
Four charts at once — any combination of vargas.
Vimśopaka bala
Below the charts, VIMSHOPAKA BALA · SHODASAVARGA gives each planet, Sun to Saturn, a score from 0 to 20 that sums up its dignity across all sixteen vargas. In each varga a planet earns 20 in its own sign, exaltation or mūlatrikoṇa, 15 in a friend's sign, 10 in a neutral's, 7 in an enemy's and 5 when debilitated; the vargas are then weighted by importance:
| Varga | Weight | Varga | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|
| D1 Rāśi | 3.5 | D16 | 2 |
| D2 Horā | 1 | D20 | 0.5 |
| D3 Drekkāṇa | 1 | D24 | 0.5 |
| D4 | 0.5 | D27 | 0.5 |
| D7 | 0.5 | D30 Triṁśāṁśa | 1 |
| D9 Navāṁśa | 3 | D40 | 0.5 |
| D10 | 0.5 | D45 | 0.5 |
| D12 | 0.5 | D60 Ṣaṣṭyāṁśa | 4 |
Each tile shows the score and a bar: green at 15 or more (strong), amber from 10, red below 10 (weak). Friendships here are the natural ones.
Bhava Chalit shifts
When any slot shows Bhava Chalit, a second panel lists PLANETS THAT CHANGE HOUSE — e.g. Mars: 7th → 8th — or confirms that every body stays in the same bhava as its rāśi house. It also names the house basis in use, which follows your Vedic house setting (see Divisional Charts & Bhava Chalit).
With Bhava Chalit in a slot, the planets that change house are listed.
